Blood donation a fashion in Shanghai

Since the introduction of 16 blood collection busses on Mar. 1st, 2002 in
Shanghai, the number of donations has increased significantly. In 2002
70,744 persons gave blood without asking for compensation, while in 2003
the number rose to 93,881. In 2004, the number of such cases reached
105,384, while in the first two months of 2005 it topped 17,376. Blood
donation is quickly becoming a healthy fashion for Shanghai residents.
