Russian crude oil arrives
www.chinanews.cn 2005-04-19 15:15:45
On April 16th, more than 2,000 tons of crude oil imported from Russia was
transported to the railway station of Sinopec Wuhan Oil Chemical Factory
(Sinopec Wuhan). It is the first time that Russian crude oil has arrived
in a Mainland Chinese city. The train arrived after transiting through
Inner Mongolia; crude oil from Yukos has now formally explored an avenue
for international oil transportation leading to Wuhan. In the future,
more crude oil from Russia will be transported to Wuhan. In the past,
Sinopec Wuhan imported crude oil only by sea. With hikes in the price of
oil, the increase of supply channels will improve the ability of Sinopec
Wuhan to ensure product oil supply in Hubei Province.
