Arable land reduced

The Ministry of Land and Resources published its survey on China's land
use changes in 2004. According to the survey, China's per capita arable
land declined from 1.59 MU (1,060 square meters) at the beginning of 2004
to 1.41 MU (940 square meters). The photo shows a Chinese suburb.
