China's foreign investors top 300

On Apr. 4th, Assistant Minister of Commerce Huang Hai revealed at the
China Retail Business Forum that, by the end of 2004, the Chinese
government had authorized a total of 304 foreign-funded enterprises,
attracting US.13 billion in foreign investment. About 3,915 retail stores
were opened, with an area of 8.286 million sq. m. Pictured: A French
