Chinese, British FMs discuss Korean Peninsula nuclear issue

BEIJING-Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing late on Friday held
telephone talks with his British counterpart Margaret Beckett, exchanging
views on the U.N. Security Council consultations over the nuclear issue
on the Korean Peninsula.
During the talks, Beckett expressed her appreciation for the positive
role China had played in seeking a peaceful resolution to the Korean
Peninsula nuclear issue.
The two sides also exchanged views on such major issues as the situation
in Sudan's western region of Darfur.
