Boeing introduced the world's longest range commercial airplane

Chinanews, Feb. 18 - On February 15th, the US-based Boeing Co. unveiled a
new commercial airplane that has the longest range in the world till now.
With the launch of its Boeing 777-200LR (Longer Range) Worldliner, Boeing
now has an excellent product line to compete with its rival in civil
aviation, Airbus SAS.
According to Boeing, this new airliner has been equipped with the
GE90-115B engine which is manufactured by the General Electric Company
(GE). GE claimed that the engine is the most powerful airplane engine in
the world till now. With another three oil tanks, the 777-200LR can serve
a nonstop route of 9,420 nautical miles (17,446 kilometers). "The
jetliner can connect any two cities around the world", said Lars
Andersen, vice president of Boeing.
