China's yuan hit a new post-revaluation high against the dollar on
Wednesday, with dealers attributing the rise to politics and market
forces.
The yuan rose to 8.0100 against dollar late in the morning, after the
central bank set its mid-point exchange rate for the day at a strong
8.0116 -- its highest since the currency was de-linked from the U.S.
dollar in July.
